P.V. Sindhu Became First Female Co-Pilot At Aero India Show
Our badminton star PV Sindhu became the first woman to do fly Light Combat Aircraft at the Aero India show in Bengaluru on Saturday.
After the 40 minute fly, she told reporters, “I am very happy about being the first woman to fly the Tejas. This day is dedicated for women. Hence I will remember this day forever”.
A wow experience. A big thanks to @DRDO_India and @DefenceMinIndia for giving me this opportunity to fly the light combat aircraft Tejas as a co-pilot . Life time experience I must say???????? @AeroIndiashow— Pvsindhu (@Pvsindhu1) February 24, 2019
She recently holds the sixth spot in the entire world. On Saturday, accompanied by Wing Commander Siddharth Singh, Sindhu took flight on the trainer version of Tejas’s fifth prototype (PV-5) for Aero India Women’s Day.
