Martyrdom That Shook The Country

India lost total of 44 brave Army and the CRPF personnel in the grisly terror attack at Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir.



It was a poignant moment for Indians when the bodies of martyred soldiers reached at the capital wrapped in the tricolor.



Home minister Rajnath Singh received them with heavy heart.



Prime Minister Modi and the entire nation paid last respects to the bravehearts.  



At their hometowns, thousands of people were gathered to pay last tributes to the martyrs.









Although the soldiers were injured, they kept on firing in retaliation.

The nation was still mourning the loss and another heart throbbing incident happened in J&K. After the frightening Pulwama attack, an Army Major lost his life while diffusing an IED near the LOC in J&K.



According to ANI, IED was planted one and a half kilometers inside the LOC in Rajouri district’s Nowshera sector.



According to India Today, Major Chitresh Bisht was due to marry next month on 7 March. His father, a police officer, was preparing for his marriage, when he came to know about the heart-wrenching news of his son’s tragic death.



The nation is still in deep shock since the attack not only costed the life of brave soldiers but also their families. This was one of the worst strikes in J&K since 1989. Various celebrities paid respect to the families of martyred soldiers and also donated money for their welfare. Amitabh Bachchan contributed 5 lakh to each of families of martyrs and Salman Khan offered contribution for Pulwama Martyrs through BEING HUMAN FOUNDATION.



In a moving gesture, the DM of Bihar's Sheikhpura district adopted the daughters of two CRPF jawaans who were martyred in the Pulwama attack, reported by ANI.




Shraddha Kushal Ganguly, an army wife, shared her opinion on social media where she claims that asking for war is not the right course of action. Comedian Mallika Dua shared her message on Instagram. 


We salute the slain warriors, may their souls rest in peace.
