KTM 790 Duke Lunched In India Amid Pure KTM Fandom
KTM finally launched the 790 Duke in India at an introductory price of Rs 8.64 lakh (ex-showroom, India). If you are looking to buy one, you can book the mid-weight bike across nine Indian cities- Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Surat.
The 790 Duke is powered by an all-new 799 cc, LC8c, parallel-twin, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 8-valve, DOHC engine churning 105 hp power and 87 Nm of torque. This powerhouse is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
This beast has a chromium molybdenum steel frame and gets a 43 mm open-cartridge upside-down front forks and gas-assisted rear shock. The stopping power comes from a set of 300 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. KTM is offering its clients Bosch 9MP dual-channel ABS with lean-angle sensitive Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC).
You get four ride modes with the 790 Duke – Sport, Street, Rain and Track – that come with varying throttle response and Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC). As KTM quotes it, the track mode gives the rider complete freedom to customize the ride with nine-step adjustable traction control, adjustable throttle response, switchable ABS with launch control. In addition to all this, there’s also Quickshifter+ with Motor Slip Regulation (MSR).
The all-new KTM 790 Duke comes with LED headlight and DRLS. It also gets a multifunctional dashboard with full-colour TFT display.
