Halloween Gets The Second Biggest Opening For A Horror Film Category In The US
Halloween, which was released on 19th October 2018, took an estimated 77.5 million dollars with just ticket sales in North American theatres.
After ‘It’ from last years’ box-office hit, this year Halloween captured first place at the box office for one of the second-highest horror openings of all time.
For all the horror movie enthusiasts this is yet another go-to film without a doubt.
The film also captured second highest box office collections in the month of October after Venom, which collected over 80.3 million dollars at the very launch.
Universal Pictures said that this movie is the biggest movie opening with a female lead with an age over 55. The lead cast is Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween.

Reviews, for now, have been really positive for the film with 80 percent fresh installment on Rotten Tomatoes.
With just 10 days to go until a holiday, the studio expects the film to collect and have a much longer life in the theatres for a horror film. Generally, after the first weekend, the ratings and the collection drops.
The film even took the spot of the comic-inspired film “Venom” and come to the no. 1 spot. Venom is currently on the no. 3 spot.
