Force India F1 Undergoing A Name Change And We're Not Liking It!
The F1 2018 season just ended and we are already facing withdrawal effects. Now, all we can do is feed on the news surrounding F1 and that’s why we are here. Apart from the news that Lance Stroll has joined Force India F1 team season 2019, this other news is certainly something to look out for…
So, Force India F1 team is undergoing a name change after all the fuss surrounding the team and its acquisition. According to report the management had decided to change the current name to ‘Racing Point F1’. The name has been registered on the official entry list for the team but it does seem like the creative department were too lazy to come up with something better and decided to go with this instead.
To be frank, Force India seemed to be a lame name too, considering all the other names in F1 but ‘Racing Point F1’ is like they didn’t even wanna try to come up with something good. They might as well have named the team ‘Purple Sector Racing’!
Anyways, we are quite crossed with the way the naming process has gone after the team performed so well in 2018 season. And name only makes it sound like a small knock-off team introduced to fill up the last spot in the stage play’s casting list.
But, by the grace of God, our so-called Indian F1 team will not be competing with Racing Point F1 as its name in 2019. Yep, that’s right, Team principal Otmar Szafnauer clarified that the name is “just a placeholder”, with the proper name to be decided upon ahead of the 2019 season. That’s a breather!
