Cardiff Footballer Emiliano Sala's Body Finally Recovered, A Closure For The Family

Days after Cardiff footballer Emiliano Sala’s plane went missing over the English Channel on 21st January; his body has finally been recovered. The Argentine’s body was recovered late on Wednesday after the wreckage was found on Sunday morning.

In a statement released, Dorset Police Forces said, “The body brought to Portland Port today, Thursday 7 February 2019 has been formally identified by HM Coroner for Dorset as that of professional footballer Emiliano Sala.” “The families of Mr Sal and the pilot David Ibbotson have been updated with this news and will continue to be supported by specially-trained family liaison officers.”

Sala was on his way from France to Cardiff as he made a quick trip back to his former club Nantes two days after his 15 million pounds transfer to Cardiff came into news.
Sala’s sister Romina shared a tribute on Instagram saying: “Your soul in my soul, it will shine forever thus illuminating the time of my existence. I love you, tito.”
Soon after the news of locating his missing body was announced condolences started pouring in on social media.
