Bugatti La Voiture Wins The Design Award Of The Year.
On the shores of Lake Como, Italy, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este invites auto enthusiasts from across the world to come and admire 50 of the best cars built between the 1920s and 1980s. It is one of the most anticipated contest bringing together historic cars that are not only rare but exceptionally beautiful. This year, Bugatti brought a car that marked the beginning of this very special year for La Marque: La Voiture Noire1. Bugatti put its name in the “Concept Cars and Prototypes’ category.
La Voiture Noire1 celebrates Bugatti’s 110th anniversary and the company unveiled the car for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show this year. This absolute beaut of a car pays homage to the legendary Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic which mysteriously disappeared from the workshop in Molsheim during World War II. La Voiture inculcates key Gran Turismo elements while packing all the elements that Bugatti hyper sports cars are known for.
Stephan Winkelmann, Bugatti CEO said, “The Elegance Contest at the Villa d’Este is a major event for the world of luxury sports cars. The models that can be seen here every year are iconic and the setting in which they are displayed could not be better.”
