Akshay Kumar Infuriated Over Sooryavanshi Release Date Change
A couple of days ago we updated you readers that Rohit Shetty had announced that his upcoming movie Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar will not clash with Salman Khan’s Inshallah on Eid 2020 and instead release on March 27, 2020. Rohit Shetty and Salman Khan had met up to discuss the clashing of the two movies and then took to social media to inform fans that Sooryavanshi has been preponed.
The date change did not go down well with fans and soon took to social media to show their disapproval. The thing that pissed fans off was that the new date was announced by everybody except Akshay Kumar. His fans were quick to understand that Akki might have been kept in dark about the whole date situation. Hence, after a series of trolls for Akshay Kumar, people started bashing Rohit Shetty for the move.
So bad was the situation that Akshay had to request his fans to calm down and refrain from such acts. But it turns out that Akshay himself is infuriated over not being consulted about the date change. Deccan Chronicle quoted a source close to the matter saying, “Akshay was not even taken into confidence before the decision to prepone Sooryavanshi was taken. It was all decided between Salman and Rohit Shetty, and the announcement was made on a public platform. This has left Akshay fuming.”
And it seems the Khiladi is in no mood to compromise this time. Yes, this has happened before! Before this, Akshay Kumar had agreed to move aside for Sanjay Leela Bhansali so that Padman and Padmaavat do not clash on the silver screen. The source said, “Akshay was in no mood to move this time. It was all done between Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty.”
With situation starting to boil up, you might be thinking “how’s the relation between the two giant stars of Bollywood?” Even though it might seem like everything is cool and calm between Khiladi and Bhai, the truth is, it isn’t. The two have never been close friends and due to some unknown reasons, the strings between the two have now stretched. Giving you an example- Salman was supposed to co-produce Akshay Kumar’s Kesari along with Karan Johar but Salman soon stepped away from the project.
So what happens next? Well, the situation is pretty tense right now. Akshay Kumar is certainly upset with Rohit Shetty keeping him the dark or involving him in taking the decision. We’ll have to wait and watch what happens with Sooryavanshi.
